The name of the village originates from a local legend. It is said that, long ago, a nobleman named Micleuș lived in these lands, owning vast and fertile estates. However, the nobleman faced a shortage of peasants to work his fields. To attract settlers, he promised each family a plot of land if they moved to his estate. Thanks to Micleuș’s generosity, hard work, and hospitality, many peasants settled in the area, founding a small village.
